Lee Memorial Health System Blood Centers and the Pine Island Elks are teaming up for a blood drive on Saturday, Mar. 22 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at 5630 Pine Island Road, Bokeelia.
All blood collected remains in the Lee Memorial Health System to serve your community. Lee Memorial Health System uses 800+ units of blood each week. With both Golisano Children’s Hospital and the only trauma center within a 5-county area, the need for blood locally remains constant, and needs to be replenished daily. All blood types are currently needed.
Those who donate a pint of blood will receive a free pancake breakfast. Donors will also receive a free t-shirt and vital health checks at no cost. You will be checked for the following:
· Pulse Rate
· Blood Pressure
· Body Temperature
· Hemoglobin (iron level)
· Blood Type
· Cholesterol level (non-fasting)
