His wife “Teppi” lost her daughter to a rare strep disease before she could

take her dream trip to Paris, so Michael Lader decided he wanted to make

sure other SW Florida children’s dreams could come true and Started the

Pin-Up’s for Wishes Annual Event in Sammi Rae’s Honor. To read her

story google Tea parties With Angels. Pin-Up’s For Wishes is a

celebration of her life and those lives she touched.

“We all have a story. We each have unique differences and challenges in our lives and

must be aware of the hardships others must endure. So we are requesting your presence

for our second annual Pin-Up’s for Wishes Event. The Roaring Twenties,

Shhhh…Speakeasy, and That entire Jazz event to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation,

said Michael Lader, Owner of Pin-Up’s Salon in Fort Myers.

Make-A-Wish has a sole mission – to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical

conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Each wish provides a

deserving child with the incredible opportunity to forget about doctors and hospitals, just for a

little while, and focus on being a carefree kid again. Because of the kindness of our donors,

Make-A-Wish has never denied a medically-eligible child of a wish. “We ask that you join us on

Thursday, April 17th, 2014

to benefit Make-A-Wish children of SW Florida and grant as many

wishes as possible, never denying a child their wish. We are so thankful for all of the support

going into this event. We couldn’t imagine a better event in which the benefits, the fun, are in

perfect harmony. It’s a great group or date night that will entertain all five of your senses,

imagination and leave you speechless when the night is over,” states Lader.

The decade of the 1920s is often characterized as a period of American prosperity and optimism. It was

the “Roaring Twenties,” the decade of bath tub gin, Burlesque, the model T, the $5 work day, the first

transatlantic flight, and the birth of the Hollywood Film. It is often seen as a period of great advance as

the nation became urban and commercial (Calvin Coolidge declared that America’s business was

business). Did you ever wonder what it would be like to take a ride in a 1929 Model-A Ford, Packard or

Willy’s Whippet? Ever imagine yourself going to a Vaudeville show or a Cotton Club?

Well get ready to take a step back in time, back to the 1920’s when cars had running boards and

gangsters were running Gin! Skidoo!!
