The Difference Between Painkiller

It’s still a thing where most people believe that one painkiller does the work and they are all just different brands, but that’s simply not true.

As a matter of fact, specific brands / titles of over the counter drug use has specific ingredients for specific pains. For example, if you have a headache, and you take Aleve, it’s probably not going to help much. Tylenol, however, will.

The difference comes from different ingredients, according to Business Insider. Tylenol contains acetaminophen, which is pretty much just equipped for headaches, according to their chart, but Advil or Motrin covers pretty much everything except a headache or a small dose for a stroke.

This is often surprising, because many will take Tylenol to treat multiple things, and I know for a fact, for myself, I’ve tried taking Advil or Motrin (ibuprofen) to treat headaches, which ibuprophen doesn’t work for, according to Business Insider’s chart.

Guess I need to switch up my medicine cabinet! Check out their full chart on their site here.
