That’s right, the day has finally come. The day countless Hollywood blockbusters predicted; The Robots are coming, albeit to a California kitchen, for now.

Flippy, the burger flipping robot, officially clocked out of its’ first day back on March 10 at the fast-food chain CaliBurger.

Geek.com brought the story on the minimum-wage robot, who perfectly cooks burgers every time unlike the unsteady hand of unreliable humans. And Flippy is a bit more adept at training than its human counterpart, apparently requiring just five minutes to install.

Flippy is the brain child of Miso Robotics and will be introduced to 50 CaliBurger restaurants across the world by the end of 2019. “Much like self-driving vehicles, our system continuously learns from its experiences to improve over time,” said CEO David Zito of Miso Robotics per The Telegraph.

The software allows the robot to quickly learn kitchen tasks ranging from cutting vegetables, to platting food, to frying chicken, simply by using cameras and sensors to assist with the food prep.

The only thing it can’t do? Ask if you want fries with that.
