President Trump makes his initial State of the Union Address this evening. The White House says Trump will use tonight's address to highlight that his cuts in taxes and regulation have unleashed a new era of economic prosperity. The President is expected to talk about his rebuilding of the US military. Trump will also take the chance to sell his plan to prevent the deportation of undocumented immigrants brought to the US as children, in return for massive funding for his border wall. The President is also expected to explain his plan for a rebuilding of U.S. infrastructure.
The mayor, City Council and area residents are all on board. The city should purchase the 175 acre Cape Coral golf course property for $12 million. A resolution will now be prepared that council will vote on at the next meeting to ask the county to discuss funding options for the property. Most residents want to see the area become a park...or recreation area.
Police have yet to release the I.D. or the cause of death of a man who was found floating in a lake at Naples Airport yesterday morning. The body was found just before 9 yesterday by a passerby. Police are continuing to investigate.
