Governor Rick Scott wants some answers and he’s authorized the FDLE to investigate the law enforcement response to the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland.
Meanwhile Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel says he’s not stepping down despite criticism of the Sheriff’s office response to the shooting. There have been calls from elected officials to remove Israel some of whom claims that Israel should have been aware of the threat that Nikolas Cruz posed to the community.

Locally…The Cape Coral Charter School Authority has cancelled the emergency security meeting scheduled for this afternoon at Oasis High School. The authority says it needs more time to have their security measures vetted by the Cape Police Department.
