What SWFL Is Talking About April 27th
Former Marco Island City Manager Lee Niblock turned himself in to authorities yesterday to face sexual harassment charges, and now his accuser is claiming that the chairman of the city council Jared Grifoni tried to cover up the allegations. Grifoni is denying the accusations.
Two teenagers have been arrested, the latest arrests in the homicide of a taxi driver in Lehigh Acres on April 7th. The teens arrested were 17 and 13. Police also arrested a 20 year old a few weeks back. All three are being charged with 2nd degree murder.
Police also arrested an unidentified teen for an armed burglary in Cape Coral that involved a knife. The burglary took place last night at a home on Bolado Parkway. Police arrested the teen with help from a K-9 officer.
The Lee County School District plans to discipline any students that violated regulations last by leaving school and protesting gun violence in schools. That includes close to 70 students at North Fort Myers High who left campus. No word on what their punishment will be.
