Lois Reiss was returned to Lee County Saturday evening, and booked into the Lee County Jail. Yesterday she faced a judge who denied her bond. Reiss led police on a multi-state hunt after killing her husband in Minnesota and later killing a tourist on Fort Myers Beach. She’ll be arraigned May 29th.
There was a killing in a homeless camp near United Plaza in North Fort Myers Sunday morning. Deputies were on the scene before 5am yesterday near US 41. They have not released the names of the suspect or the victim of the stabbing.
A fight over money led to a beating at Lehigh Regional Medical Center over the weekend. 29 year old Joshua Tribble was arrested for attacking his roommate 33 year old Christopher Durant, who had gone to the medical center for treatment. Tribble allegedly gragged his roommate out of the Emergency Room and beat him up in the parking lot. He’s been charged with kidnapping, robbery and battery.
A Sunday morning robbery led to a large crime scene at the 7-11 on College Parkway in Fort Myers Sunday morning. Police are looking for a white male about six feet tall, possibly in his mid to late 20’s. Call Crime Stoopers if you have any information.
