Police are looking into a shooting last night near the Howard Johnson Hotel off US 41 in Fort Myers. According to deputies, a man ran from his car after being pulled over, and then pointed a gun at them. That’s when the suspect was shot. No further information is available.
Meanwhile, deputies continue to investigate yesterday’s bank robbery at the Capital Bank on Metro Parkway in Fort Myers. Police are looking for two black males, both 5’8″-5′ 10″ and about 180 pounds. Call Crime Stoppers if you have any information.
A 15 year old Freshman at Oasis High is responsible for the threat against the school that had police and school officials on alert yesterday. The threat was made during a video game chat session, and police say there is no credible threat at the moment. Still additional officers will be present on campus while the investigation continues.
Entertainment News: Ashley Judd is suing Harvey Weinstein and says she’ll donate any money from the suit to the Time’s Up Legal Defense Fund. Judd claims the former movie mogul destroyed her career after she rebuffed his sexual advances.
