We have a rabies alert in effect for the next 60 days…the rabies alert covers an area from the Caloosahatchee River to the north…edison Avenue to the South…US 41 to the West and Veronica Shoemaker to the East. Reportedly a cat in that area tested positive for rabies, forcing the alert to be imposed.
