Green water is flowing in the Caloosahatchee River and heading downstream toward Fort Myers. The algae filled water is a result of fresh water discharges from Lake Okeechobee, which were slowed last week . The green water has reached Alva and Labelle and could reach Fort Myers and Cape Coral by the weekend.

27 year old John Hennessey has been arrested by Cape Coral police. He's accused of dancing without his clothes on in a fire while holding a knife and swinging a stick at officers. He was arrested early Monday morning on Pine Island Lane. Police say he was speaking gibberish and may have been under the influence of psychedelic drugs. He's been charged with aggravated assault, criminal mischief and aggravated assault on a police officer.
