A report by the Department of Children and families shows that the parents of a baby girl who drowned in a North Port canal earlier this week, were asleep when their daughter went missing.
20 month old Ava Perry died Tuesday morning. Her body was found in a canal about a half mile from her home.
Two Charlotte County children, left home alone, had to endure a scary incident, when a bloody man talked his way into their house, and locked them in the bathroom. The children were not hurt, and deputies later arrested Timothy Bryant. He was taken to the Lee County Trauma Center to deal with his injuries
A 30 year old Texas woman is going to spend 15 days in jail for allegedly removing 40 queen conch shells from the waters around Key West. The suspect will also serve six months of probation and pay a fine and court costs
53 year old home health aide Jorge Luis Lago has been arrested and charged with sexual battery in connection with two incidents. He was arrested after providing DNA evidence to detectives. He’s currently in the Collier County Jail.
