Fort Myers Police Officer Adam Jobbers Miller died Saturday following a shooting last weekend, and yesterday morning, over a dozen police cars escorted Jobbers-Miller’s body to a cremation facility. A moment of silence was held for the officer and his family at a jam packed Dixie Roadhouse in Cape Coral last evening. Close to $75 thousand has been raised for Jobbers-Miller’s family through a go fund me account. Meanwhile, Jobbers Miller’s killer Wismer Desmaret has been transferred from the hospital to the Lee County Jail. No word yet on services for officer Jobbers-Miller
A 19 year old graduate of Dunbar High School has gone missing while visiting Tel-Aviv Israel. According to witnesses Teniya Jones went swimming with a group of friends in the Mediterranean Sea and got caught up in the current. Search and rescue efforts are underway.
Red Tide and Blue Green algae continue to plague our beaches and waterways with dead fish lining the shore and algae clogging our canals and smaller waterways. Swimming advisories are up for many of our area beaches and red tide warnings have been posted for all of Southwest Florida.
