Stolen ‘Wizard of Oz’ Ruby Slippers Recovered
More than a decade after being stolen, a pair of ruby slippers from The Wizard of Oz have been found. The historic shoes were taken from the Judy Garland Museum in Minnesota in 2005. The shoes were insured for $1 million. The FBI says the shoes have been found but gave no further details. Four pairs of ruby slippers Garland wore in the movie are known to still be around. A collector said the shoes are “the holy grail of Hollywood memorabilia” with a pair selling for $2 million privately. If money were no object, what piece of movie memorabilia would you buy?
