Police have arrested a 23 year old and charged him with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and carrying a concealed weapon without a permit, after a shooting incident Saturday in North Fort Myers. The shooting happened on Breeze Drive and one person was taken to the hospital. The suspect has been identified as Elijah Evors.
Police have arrested 65 year old Mark Hamel of Bonita Springs and charged him with animal cruelty, possession of marijuana, and possession of a controlled substance. Police say Hamel allegedly shot his neighbors cat with a crossbow, and when police went to the suspects home to investigate they found the crossbow, arrows and two pounds of marijuana. It looks like the cat will be OK.
A 20 year old man is dead after a wild crash involving an SUV crashing into a Cape Coral pool in a neighborhood near Kismet Parkway and Chiquita Boulevard North in Cape Coral. Officers say the Toyota RAV4 was speeding through nearby fields when it collided with a boat – sending into the air. The car then collided with the roof of a house, and rolled onto a lanai, before landing in a swimming pool. The dead man is identified as 20-year-old Michael Velez …two others were injured in the crash.

Jeopardy!’ Contestant Proposes to Girlfriend During Show. Guess How She Responded?
- Michael Pascuzzi, a Jeopardy contestant decided to propose to his girlfriend after the contestant coordinator jokingly asked him when was he going to “put a ring on it?”–(propose to his girlfriend).
- How did she answer? “What is yes?” of course!!!
- Michael did not go home the grand prize winner but he did go home a winner-because she did say yes, but he finished in second place on the show.
