The family of 22 year old Javarcia Riggins who was killed in a shooting last week at Bell Tower Shops has filed a lawsuit again the mall and TGI Fridays. The lawsuit alleges that Bell Tower knew about possible criminal activity and lacked adequate security.

 

 

There was a large police presence at a home on Payne Lane and Nault Drive in North Fort Myers, a home neighbors say is known for drug activity. We’re waiting for a statement from the Lee County Sheriff’s office.

 

A Lehigh Acres man died in what appears to be a tragic accident when his head got caught while working on the windows of his car. The dead man has been identified as 56 year old Julio Rosado Gonzalez. He was found by a power company employee. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

White Woman Dubbed ‘Golf Cart Gail’ Calls Cops on Black Father at His Son’s Soccer Game

  • Meet ‘Golfcart Gail.’
  • A Florida woman called the police on a black father who was cheering for his son at his soccer game.
  • ‘Gail’ called the police when a father yelled to his son during the game, the ref is right.
  • ‘Gail’ approached the father to remind him that harassment would not be tolerated. The father responded that he was talking to his son.
  • The father offered to leave to avoid any further disruption. ‘Gail’ said she was still calling the police because she did not feel safe with his threatening behavior.
  • When the police arrived ‘Gail’ told police that the father charged at her.
  • The police assessed that the incident was nothing more than a verbal dispute and no charges were filed.

 

James Taylor Launches a “Million Meal Challenge”

  • North Carolina native and music legend James Taylor is teaming up with a local food bank to help those affected by Hurricane Florence.
  • The James Taylor Million Meals Challengehas been designed to double donations to the food bank through the end of October. For every $10 given to the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina, 100 meals can be provided to those in need.
  • Taylor’s family has roots in New Bern that go back to the mid-1700s when the city was founded by his great-great grandfather Isaac Taylor, and James grew up in Chapel Hill.
