North Carolina native and music legend James Taylor is teaming up with a local food bank to help those affected by Hurricane Florence.

The James Taylor Million Meals Challenge has been designed to double donations to the food bank through the end of October. For every $10 given to the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina, 100 meals can be provided to those in need. Taylor's family has roots in New Bern that go back to the mid-1700s when the city was founded by his great-great grandfather Isaac Taylor, and James grew up in Chapel Hill.  Have you lended a hand to hurricane victims? Can you tell the difference between legit organizations that want to help and those that are fake?
