Candace Oliver, 26, has been arrested for beating a four-month pregnant woman in a Steak ‘n Shake parking lot near Page Field. Oliver has bonded out of jail. The pregnant woman and her baby are expected to be OK.
A man escaped from police custody while being treated at Lee Memorial Hospital, ran onto the campus of Fort Myers High School in nothing but a hospital gown, then punched a school resource officer. 30 year old Randy Austerman was eventually apprehended and he’s been charged with hitting the officer, resisting arrest, and trespassing on school property.
Police arrested 33 year old Michael Sanchez Wednesday night at a Cape Coral gas station after finding him passed out at the wheel of his car. Police found Sanchez in possession of a bag of crystal meth…a Glcok pistol and a stun gun. He’s been charged with DUI, possession of methamphetamine and possession of a concealed firearm
Police have also arrested 32 year old Harrison Rivera who was wanted and charged him with possession of drugs, and a loaded semi-automatic handgun. His female companion, 30 year old Ashley Reddick was also arrested.
The latest red tide report is out and officials say that concentrations of red tide are high in Manatee, Sarasota and Charlotte Counties. Lee and Collier are listed as medium.
