The remains of former President George H.W. Bush will be brought to the nation's capitol today. President Bush will lie in state at the US Capitol Rotunda with a State funeral service Wednesday at Washington's National Cathedral.  President Bush died Friday at his home in Texas he was 94. Of course the Bush family has had ties to Southwest Florida often visiting Boca Grande, where the ex-president liked to spend time fishing.


A public hearing in Cape Coral this afternoon over a controversial issue. Should the council enact a ban on the sales of dogs and cats. Today's meeting begins at 4:30 at City Hall


73 year old Lewis Midlam of Fort Myers died Friday evening when his small plane crashed into the Apalachicola River. He had taken off from Page Field earlier that day. The National Transportation Safety Board, FAA and other organizations are investigating the crash.
