We don't have much information, but Lee County Deputies were on scene for several hours yesterday investigating what appears to be a shooting near the corner of Ivan Avenue and 7th St SW in Lehigh Acres. No arrests have been announced.

Local authorities are looking for a runaway teen who left her Fort Myers Beach home Christmas Eve. 15 year old Bianca Smith. She's 5' 4" and 135 pounds. If you have information call the Lee County Sheriff's Office.

A North Fort Myers teenager was killed in a Christmas Day head on car crash in Lake Placid. Destiny Frantz was a passenger in the car all those involved in the crash died .

Man Throws Dinner Ham at Woman During Fight

A Kentucky man was arrested and charged with assault and evading arrest after he threw a Christmas ham at a woman.
David D. Brannon, 21, got into an argument on Sunday with the family about when they would eat Christmas dinner.
Brannon began throwing things, including the ham, at a woman. It hasn’t been determined what relation the woman was to Brannon. Brannon tried to leave the scene after the police were called, but he was detained and arrested.

More Companies Want Employees to Work Less

More companies are wanting their employees to work a shorter work week. Companies that have implemented a 10-hour, four day work week, have seen their employees be more productive and less stressed.
In Japan, there has been a call to give employees Monday mornings off, reducing work hours didn’t work as well however due to most Japanese working over 40 hours to begin with.
Britain's Trade Union Congress wants a four-day work week citing the reduction of stress due to not having to juggle family and professional lives, as well as closing the gender wage gap.
Many companies are realizing in the digital age where the technology is at one's fingertips many employees never stop working, often working while not on the clock. Although other countries may adopt a four-day workweek before the end of the century, however, the United States will probably be last to change.
