Florida’s water was on the mind of our new Governor Ron DeSantis and yesterday he called for the immediate resignations of all the governing board memebers of the South Florida Water Management District. During a stop in Bonita Springs, the Governor also signed an executive order that calls for $2.5 billion dollars over the next four years for Everglades Restoration and water resources in general. The order also calls for the establishment of a blue-green algae task force to focus on reducing the impacts of algae blooms over the next five years.
