Fort Myers Police are investigating two deaths at a home on Floral Drive in Fort Myers. A mother and her young son were found dead inside the home after relatives were unable to contact them. No ID's yet on the deceased.

Emotions are running high at Naples Community Hospital as Doctors there have given a No Confidence Vote to NCH CEO Alan Weiss. Conflict began late last year when the hospital adopted a new admissions policy. NCH announced a pilot program where only hospital-based physicians treated patients. This new plan eliminates admission privileges for independent doctors at NCH.

Gov. Ron DeSantis  is calling on the Legislature to repeal a ban on smoking medical marijuana and also make it easier for businesses to participate in the market. At a press conference in Winter Park, DeSantis said the Legislature is failing to follow the will of Florida voters, who overwhelmingly approved an amendment to the state constitution in 2016 that legalized medical marijuana.
