21 year old Zephen Xaver, of Sebring is in custody, 5 people dead after a shooting at a Sun Trust Bank on US 27 in Sebring. No I.D. yet on the victims. The suspect is a former corrections officer.

Two separate drug investigations yielded three arrests in Cape Coral…Cape Coral Police arrested 46 year old Cindy Yvonne Williams and Martez Trevonne, Lyn Durrah on cocaine charges and in a separate arrest 27 year old Jorge Fransisco Maya was taken into custody after a traffic stop. He’s facing two counts of selling cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

 

Charlotte County Police are investigating a possible drowning. A woman’s body was found in a canal off Forrest Nelson Blvd in Port Charlotte. Police say the death does not appear to be suspicious.

 

After a vote of no confidence, Naples Community Hospital CEO Alan Weiss and top executive Kevin Cooper have resigned. It appears that NCH will change it’s controversial admissions policy which triggered the no confidence vote.

 

TopGolf is coming to Southwest Florida. The popular golf amusement center will be located on land near Colonial Blvd and Six Mile Cypress Parkway. No word on when construction will be completed

Which Country Is The Best To Live In?

  • The rankings are out on which country is the best to live in, the study was done by U.S. News & World, BAV Group and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Eighty countries were evaluated based on a range of categories such as education, entrepreneurship, adventure, and quality of life.
  • The United States came in eighth and saw the biggest decline in the “perception of trustworthiness” category with a ranking of 27. Human rights also fell for the United States.
  • The United States, however, came in number one in the “perception of power” category, overall the top five countries to live in are United Kingdom (5), Germany (4), Canada (3), Japan (2), and Switzerland coming in at number one.

 

McDonald’s to Serve Up Free Bacon During Special Hour

  • For one hour, and one hour only, you can get two free pieces of bacon at McDonald’s!
  • On Tuesday, January 29th, any customer who orders between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. can add bacon to the side of any order.  Only two pieces of bacon per customer will be allowed.
  • The Bacon Hour promotion is getting the word out about bacon-sandwiches that are hitting the menu, along with cheesy bacon fries. You will be able to get the fries and a Big Mac, or Quarter Pounder with bacon starting January 30th.
