Governor Ron DeSantis has named Sanibel city councilman Chauncey Goss to the board of the South Florida Water Management District. The governor made the announcement yesterday at the Rookery Bay Environmental Learning Center in Naples. The Governor has requested that all nine board members resign, and he said that Goss “has a clear record of supporting and preserving Florida’s natural resources.” Governor DeSantis also rolled out a plan that includes $625 million for water resources projects, including Everglades restoration.
