No arrests have been made, but police continue to investigate the murder of 66 year old Brenda Hill who was found dead Monday night at her home at Grandma's RV Resort in LaBelle. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS.

Federico Fernandez, the chairman of the South Florida Water Management District Governing Board announced he'll be stepping down from the board at the request of Governor  DeSantis after the February board meeting. Fernandez  made the announcement in a memo, saying he was proud of the work of the board during his tenure, but it's clear the Governor has his own vision for the Water Management District. Two other board members announced their resignations yesterday as well. Governor DeSantis will be back in Southwest Florida today, speaking at Ida Baker high School.

 

14 year old Josie Bigelow of Lehigh Acres must have some boyfriend....She wanted to see him so bad, she allegedly stole a pizza delivery driver's car early yesterday morning. Apparently she ordered the pizza so she could steal the car. Bigelow and the pizza delivery driver's vehicle were recovered several miles away. She's been charged with grand theft.
 41 days in jail for possessing Tide Detergent. It happened here in Florida to 29 year old Matt Crull from Martin County, jailed because his arresting deputy determined the 92 gram stash Crull had in his car was heroin. Subsequent tests determined the powder was indeed Tide. The arresting officer has been fired.
