Lee County Deputy Blake Grossi, implicated in a videotaped assault on a teenager who was already in police custody, has resigned from the Sheriff's Department. His case has been turned over to the State's Attorney's Office.

One woman was killed a second hospitalized after their car spun out of control and hit a semi on Oil Well Road in Collier County. The road was closed for a time following the accident. The dead woman is 20 year old Emily Acosta. A motorcyclist was killed last night in a crash on Stringfellow Road in St James City. No ID yet on the man who was killed.

Larita Branch of Land O' Lakes is facing charges after police say she allegedly assaulted her boyfriend with a selfie stick and stereo speakers. She was taken into custody and charged with felony battery.

Nevada finished #1...Florida is also the No. 1 most jealous state, Florida finished No. 4 in both the lust and vanity rankings. And the state was ranked No 25 for anger and hatred. Jussie Smollett Faces Felony Criminal Charge for Falsely Reporting Alleged Racist Attack

Jussie Smollett is now officially a suspect in a criminal investigation.
The Chicago Police Department has filed felony criminal charges of disorderly conduct/filing a false police report against Jussie Smollett.
It is a Class 4 felony that carries 1 to 3 years in jail if convicted. He would also be forced to pay for the cost of the police investigation.
The police are currently negotiating a reasonable surrender for him.

Parents! Stop Posting About Your Children Online; Someday They Could Sue You

Most of us remember the first time we 'Googled' ourselves. In the early days of the internet there wasn't much, if anything. It was a blank canvas and we, mostly, had control over what content was shared.
That isn't the case for our children who are born long after we first typed our own names into a search-engine. And as they do the same, The Atlantic reports, many are shocked at what they're finding. In some cases - their entire lives - right there for the whole world to see; thanks to schools, sports leagues, and us, their parents. You know, the people telling them that they're too young to have an email address or social media account and, when they do, to watch what they post.
But are we, their parents and other 'responsible' adults, watching what we post of them? 92% of toddlers under two-years-old already have a digital footprint, according to internet-security firm AVG. And it goes without saying that those toddlers didn't give consent.
It's now 2019. The digital world is bustling bigger and faster than New York City on steroids. You're a tween, teen, young adult, who 'Googles' themselves for the very first time? What if you don't like what you see?
Some lawmakers and even courts have gotten involved. A 2014 ruling by Europe's high court says internet providers must give users the "right to be forgotten." In France, Kids can sue their parents for publishing without certain 'personal' information without their consent.

Walmart is devoting this Saturday to new and expecting parents.
Stores nationwide will have "Baby Savings Day" on February 23rd from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm local time.
Walmart will have discounts on baby products, as well as in-store demonstrations of items and advice on what's best for your growing family.

NYC Mayor Has Security Detail Pull Over Texting Driver

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio is serious about his state's no texting while driving law.
De Blasio had his police detail pull over a texting driver in Manhattan on Saturday. The mayor was in a car next to the texting woman.
When asked about the incident on Tuesday, de Blasio said the driver needed an "on-the-spot education" about how dangerous it is to text and drive. The woman received a ticket.
In the state of New York, fines for texting and driving range from $50 to $400.
