Police are investigating a stabbing that took place last night in front of the Fort Myers Public Library downtown

Governor DeSantis named three new members to the South Florida Water Management District Board yesterday including Charlotte Roman of Marco Island who was the first At-Large Environmental Commissioner on the Collier County Planning Commission.

78 year old John Bayerl of Fort Myers has been arrested and charged with murder in connection with the 1979 death of his wife Donna Mae in Muskegon, Wisconsin. Bayerl had remained a person of interest in the case all these years. His wife's body was never recovered.

Cape Coral Police and other agencies are continuing to investigate a possible hazmat situation at the Sam's Club on Pine Island Road in Cape Coral yesterday. A FedEx driver reported feeling ill after delivering package that contained an unknown powder. Nearby stores were placed on lockdown and the FedEx driver was hospitalized. That area has been declared safe.

Long time beloved Boston Globe columnist Nick Cafardo passed away yesterday while covering Spring Training at Jet Blue Park...According to the Globe he suffered an embolism. He was 62.

And we lost a treasured musician from our childhood, Peter Tork of The Monkees passed away due to complications from cancer. He was 77. Here is a statement from his family:

We are all saddened to share the news that Peter Thorkelson -- friend, father, husband, grandfather, philosopher, goofball, entertainer -- died peacefully this morning at a family home in Connecticut. Peter succumbed to a 10 year bout with adinoid cystic carcenoma, a rare cancer of the salivary glands. Peter’s energy, intelligence, silliness, and curiosity were traits that for decades brought laughter and enjoyment to millions, including those of us closest to him. Those traits also equipped him well to take on cancer, a condition he met with unwavering humor and courage.

Your Old Disney VHS Tapes Could Be Worth Thousands

Disney merchandise is known for becoming more valuable over time. That goes for those old Disney VHS tapes you may have in storage.
All Disney videos from back in the day are not created equal but some of them could make you some cash.
Look to see if your video was a part of Disney's Black Diamond collection. These VHS tapes came out between 1984 and 1994. They are clearly marked on the spine of the box. Those tapes might be worth $50 to $250 on eBay.
If the tape is labeled "A Walt Disney Classic" and is also a Black Diamond, it could be more valuable. A video that had a cover art change while it was released could bring in big bucks too. A copy of The Little Mermaid in the original case is listed for $3,200. A Black Diamond version of 101 Dalmatians is worth $6,000!

Target Releasing New Cheap Wine Collection

Target is going to help make “Fwineday” (a made-up holiday for Friday that involves unwinding with a glass of vino) even better because they are launching a line of wines all under $10.
The wine collection which includes a cabernet sauvignon, red wine blend, rosé, pinot grigio, and chardonnay will hit shelves on March 3 for $9.99 each.
All of the wines are made from California grapes.
