Indiana State Police have arrested a trio from Lee County, who were wanted in Georgia on theft charges. 26 year old Tiphani Sager of Cape Coral, Amber Dunlap of Lehigh Acres and Toni Huizar of Fort Myers were arrested after a traffic stop and found to be in possession of credit cards,  check books and ID’s. All three have a long criminal history in Southwest Florida as well

Our partners at NBC-2 are reporting shots fired in Tice near the corner of Glenwood Avenue and Burdick Avenue. The incident was reported shortly after midnight. No further information is available.

 

A Brevard County man has been arrested in a case of severe elder abuse that killed his 87 year old grandmother. Allen Arias brought his unresponsive Grandmother Antia Arias to a hospital last month. She was covered in bed sores, and some of those sores were infested with maggots. An autopsy showed the woman died of dehydration and emaciation. Allen Arias has been charged with aggravated manslaughter.

 

State Attorney Dave Aronberg held a press conference yesterday addressing the human trafficking case involving Robert Kraft, owner of the New England Patriots. As a result of the investigation at the Orchids of Asia Day Spa, the Jupiter Police Department has identified 25 individuals involved, including Mr. Kraft. All have been charged with solicitation of prostitution.

 

Average Tax Refund Down $500 This Year

  • Did you get stuck with a smaller tax refund this year?  You’re not alone.  Refunds across the board are down by an average of $500 in 2019.
  • According to the latest IRS data, the average 2019 refund is about $2,600, as opposed to more than $3,100 in 2018.  On top of that, about 26 percent fewer people are getting refunds this year.
  • But analysts say many Americans are getting a smaller refund because more of that money was included in their paychecks throughout the year.  They also warn that the numbers could change as more tax returns are filed.

 

A Scientific Study Found That The More Kids A Woman Has, The Slower She Ages

  • Ok moms good news!  All the stress, sleepless nights and screaming kids may pay off for you! A 2016 Simon Fraser University found that women who have more kids, age slower.
  • According to the study women who have had more children also have longer telomeres, which are the protective tips at the end of each DNA strand. Longer telomeres are needed for cell reproduction and are directly related to your life span.
  • So forget those skin creams, injections and hours in the gym, simply have more babies!

 

 

 

You Can Now Rent a ‘Shake Shack’ Truck for Parties

  • If you are hosting a private event and live either in the Atlanta area or in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut or Pennslyvania, you can now rent a Shake Shack truck.
  • The truck will roll up to your space and provide most of the classic Shake Shack options, though, menus can be flexible depending on the situation.
  • All you need to do is submit a request form with some basic information at least two weeks prior to your event.
