Thousands gathered at Hertz Arena yesterday to honor the memory of Lieutenant Daniel Hinton, a 32 year veteran who died last week during a training exercise in Fort Myers. Among the speakers, his wife, former colleagues and Governor Ron DeSantis. Following the service, Hinton received a ceremonial 21 gun salute.
61 year old Luis Garcia of Cape Coral was killed in a construction accident in Punta Gorda yesterday when he was pinned underneath a forklift. He later died at Bayfront Hospital
A cheeseburger craving was apparently more important than stopping for police and for that 24 year old Tiara Crace was arrested in Cape Coral this past weekend. She’s facing 2 counts of fleeing and eluding law enforcement and resisting without violence. After police attempted to make a traffic stop, Crace refused to stop and continued into the Coral Lakes community. She was later apprehended. According to the officers report she didn’t stop for police because she was hungry and wanted a cheeseburger.
