Under the measure, patients would be allowed to purchase up to 2.5 ounces of pot during a 35 day period, and would be able to possess up to 4 ounces. The measure now goes to the house next week
A 6th Grade student at Lawton Chiles Middle Academy in Lakeland, who was arrested following a dispute over his participation in the Pledge of Allegiance, will not be prosecuted according to his lawyer. The student was suspended for three days and transferred to a private school following the incident. His family plans legal action. They have a civil rights complaint pending against the Department of Education.
