Kim Kardashian Shares Makeup-Free Video of Her Struggle With Psoriasis

Kim Kardashian has been getting real on social media over the last few weeks about having a major psoriasis flare-up.
The reality star shared a makeup-free selfie video on Instagram of her struggles with the skin condition Monday. In the video, you can see multiple red patches on her face. The video comes just a few weeks after she revealed she was in the middle of a severe flare up all over her body. In that post, she shared images of her legs covered in the rash.
Psoriasis is a chronic skin condition that “causes cells to build up rapidly on the surface of the skin,” according to Mayo Clinic. It can lead to painful, itchy red rashes and cannot be cured.
Kardashian has been open about struggling with it.
“Sometimes I just feel like it’s my big flaw and everyone knows about it, so why cover it?” she said. “I’m always hoping for a cure, of course, but in the meantime, I’m learning to just accept it as part of who I am.”
In December, she also asked fans for advice for medication via Twitter:
I think the time has come I start a medication for psoriasis. I’ve never seen it like this before and I can’t even cover it at this point. It’s taken over my body. Has anyone tried a medication for psoriasis & what kind works best? Need help ASAP!!!

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star also revealed that psoriasis runs in her family, as mother Kris Jenner has also suffered from it.
