FBI Uncovered College Fraud Scheme by Accident Reports are coming out that the surprising college fraud scheme that involved celebrities was found by the FBI on accident. According to the FBI, Operation Varsity Blues became a big thing because of a tip from someone in a totally unrelated case. As a result of the tip, fifty parents and coaches were charged with being part of the scheme that involved bribes that totaled over $6 million to get their kids into “elite” schools. Notable names of people charged are actresses Felicity Huffman and Lori Laughlin. What was your reaction when you first learned about this scandal?
