Charlotte County Deputies are investigating after a dead man's body was found in a wooded area near Rotunda Blvd West and Placida Rd. The man has not been identified, and the area where the body was found is near a homeless camp.

Police are looking for two men responsible for stealing a woman's purse out of her car at the WAWA on Pine Island Road in Cape Coral Wednesday. The men were driving a dark colored pick up. If you have any information call CRIME STOPPERS.

A Fort Myers man has been arrested for allegedly taking photos up a woman's skirt at an apartment complex in Tice. Jeremiah Mendez was arrested at The Harbor East Aprtments. Mendez has been charged with video voyeurism.

Here's Why Facebook Was Down On Wednesday

Did you have trouble logging on to Facebook or Instagram on Wednesday? Now we know the reason why.
On Thursday afternoon, Facebook posted that a 'server configuration change' led to the outage across multiple platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger. The company apologized for the inconvenience to users and says issue has since been resolved and that "our systems are recovering".
A service called Downdetector says it was the largest Facebook outage they've ever recorded going back to 2012, with more than 7.5 million users reporting problems.

Flipping The Bird Is Protected By The Constitution

Giving the middle finger to a police officer might not be the smartest thing to do, but it's protected by the constitution.
A federal appeals court ruled that a woman's constitutional rights were violated when she was given a ticket by an officer in suburban Detroit after she flipped the cop off.
Officer Matthew Minard pulled over Debra Cruise-Gulyas in 2017 for a lesser offense. After she flipped him off, Minard pulled her over again and gave her a bigger ticket.
The court said Minard "should have known better." Cruise-Gulyas filed a lawsuit saying her free speech rights were violated.

Goat Sworn In As Mayor, Immediately Marks Its Territory

The tiny town of Fair Haven, Vermont just swore in its new honorary mayor - a 3-year-old goat named Lincoln. And Lincoln wasted no time getting down to business - or at least doing her business.
After being sworn in and dressed in a sash that read 'MAYOR', Lincoln defecated on the floor of city hall, leaving the town's chief of police to clean up the mess. One local business owner remarked "Note the crap - it's just like any other meeting."
Lincoln was 'elected' as part of a special fundraiser where Fair Haven residents could nominate their pets for a $5 fee. The money raised will go towards building a playground.

Man Pays Only $100 A Year on Utilities

Could you live in a 100 square foot home? One man who wants to leave a lighter imprint on the Earth has just built a tiny home for $1,500. The home includes an outdoor kitchen, an energy-efficient refrigeration system and a composting toilet system.
Anti-food-waste activist Rob Greenfield also plans to grow and forage 100% of his food. He keeps bees to make his own honey, stores his garden's harvest and ferments everything he can. He even uses leaves from his garden as toilet paper.
So, how does Rob's lifestyle pay off? His utility bills are only $100 a year and he has no mortgage!
