There was a shooting late last night at the Horizon Apartments on Summerlin Road in Fort Myers. One man was taken to the hospital. Np further information is available.

 

Police have arrested a 14 year old in connection with the stabbing of two teens.  The incident happened at 17th Avenue and Sunshine Boulevard in Golden Gate Estates Monday. Their injuries were not serious.

 

It looks like yesterday’s wet weather may be to blame for  Fed-Ex truck slamming into a Cape Coral house. The house is located at Embers Parkway, near Chiquita Boulevard North and suffered no structural damage. The driver of the Fed-ex truck was not hurt.

 

Police are looking for two women who rifled through a woman’s purse at a Fort Myers Panera Bread store and stole her  driver’s license, credit cards and insurance cards. If you have any information on the theft call CRIME STOPPERS.

 

Big day in Charlotte Harbor today. Groundbreaking for the Sunseeker Resort which will bring a 500 room hotel, plus shops and restaurants…Not to mention lots of jobs for Charlotte County residents.

 

 

Jay-Z, Dead & Co, the Killers to Perform at Woodstock 50

  • Woodstock is celebrating 50 years this year and the anniversary show is all set to take place this Summer.
  • Organizers for the special event have released the lineup with some of the performers from the 1969 lineup returning like, Dead & Co, Santana, Country Joe McDonald, and John Fogerty.
  • New to the Woodstock stage are the Killers, Robert Plant, Miley Cyrus, Halsey, Black Keys and Chance the Rapper and JAY-Z.
  • Tickets to celebrate Woodstock 50 go on sale April 22nd, Woodstock 50 happens August 16th -18th in Watkins Glen, New York.

 

A New York Mom Gave Birth to a 15-Pound Miracle Baby — and They’re Both Doing Just Fine

  • New York Mom, Joe Buckley is glad to have given birth to her baby girl, especially since she weighed 15 pounds! Buckley, who had trouble conceiving a child, was told she only had a 15 percent chance of having a child, so she and her husband adopted a daughter.
  • She soon defeated the odds and gave birth to an 11-pound son, then two years later Joy gave birth to a second child, Harper, who weighed in at 15 pounds and 23.2 inches long.
  • “I felt like I was hit by two tractor-trailers,” Joy said. “It was pretty violent. She got stuck under my ribcage.” It was exhausting, to say the least.
  • Harper is the largest baby ever to be born at Arnot Odgen Medical Center in New York. Officials are trying to confirm if she is the heaviest baby to be born in New York.

The Government Will Give You Money To Adopt A Wild Horse

  • Want $1000 from the federal government?  All you have to do is adopt a wild horse.
  • The Bureau of Land Management is launching an Adoption Incentive Program that will offer up to $1,000 for anyone who adopts a wild horse or burro and gives it a good home.
  • The agency says the goal is to promote adoption and help reduce the country’s overpopulation of wild horses and burros, which is a problem for public rangelands.

 

Here’s Why Fleetwood Mac Ditched Buckingham

  • Whether he was “fired” or not, members of Fleetwood Mac gave a few hints as to why guitarist Lindsey Buckingham was asked to leave the band.  The reasons include a money dispute and, as drummer Mick Fleetwood told MOJO magazine, “the Elizabeth Taylor/Richard Burton type of life” between vocalist Stevie Nicks and Buckingham.
  • Buckingham has sued his former bandmates, claiming that he’s owed $12 million from touring.  Stevie Nicks also told Rolling Stone magazine last year that Buckingham’s wishes to stall tour rehearsals was a reason for the lineup change.
  • Mick Fleetwood told MOJO that Nicks and Buckingham’s relationship had so many ups and downs that continuing work with Buckingham was “too challenging.”

 

 

Jerry Lee Lewis Expected to “Fully Recover” From Stroke

  • Two weeks after Jerry Lee Lewis suffered a stroke, his team has given us an update on his health.
  • Lewis was moved to a rehabilitation facility and is expected to make a full recovery. His doctor said, “From what I have seen thus far, he is heading in the right direction.”
  • Lewis had to cancel several upcoming concerts due to his health.
  • His people said, “Lewis wants [his fans] to know he can’t wait to get back onstage and into the studio to make his Gospel record.”
