Riding his bicycle through a stop sign got the attention of Cape Coral Police, and now 24 year old Christopher Pfister is under arrest after he took off from police, swam through 2 canals and then got tased for his trouble. When he was finally apprehended, police realized Pfsiter was wanted on a past warrant. He’s been charged with loitering and resisting law enforcement.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office has reassigned a deputy who was napping while assigned as a school resource officer. It’s actually the fourth time that Deputy George Camacho has been caught sleeping on the job. According to the department the deputy is being treated for his sleep issues.
The US Army Corps of Engineers announced yesterday it will lessen water releases from Lake Okeechobee into the Caloosahatchee River. The Corps will review the situation in a few weeks and determine if other changes need to be made.
