Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani Left Their Seats During Miranda Lambert’s ACM Performance
When Miranda Lambert performed her song “Little Red Wagon” during the ACM Awards Sunday night, and changed the lyric from “I live in Oklahoma” to “I got the hell out of Oklahoma,” many perceived this as a ‘diss’ to Blake Shelton.
The internet buzzed about the diss and social media lit up, and it might have been tempting for the show’s producers to show the reaction of Shelton and long-time girlfriend, Gwen Stefani, who were seen in the audience together during other parts of the show. Shelton and Stefani, though, denied them that opportunity: they left their seats before the performance.
Miranda’s team posted her performance at the ACM’s saying, “A hit isn’t a position on a chart, it’s what people sing along to. Thanks for being on this ride with me.”
Lambert kicks off her “Road Side Bars and Pink Guitars Tour” in September.
