Busy Philipps Had a Colorful Reaction to Her E! Late Night Show’s Cancelation
Busy Philipps is taking the cancelation of her late-night talk show on E! in stride. In fact, she had a very colorful reaction to the news.
On Monday’s show, she revealed that, despite the cancelation, she had been nominated for a Critic’s Choice Award. And since the show is no longer going to be taping, she announced she would be able to attend.
“I’ll be there because, turns out, I’m f–king free,” the actress said directly to camera.
Philipp’s show has been on the network for just a few months, and apparently wasn’t a hit with executives.
“Hey guys. Just wanted to let you know my show BusyTonight won’t be continuing on the E network after May 16,” she said. “I’m beyond proud of what we’ve built in such a short period of time and I’m hopeful we can find the right place for the show to live on. Goodnight you guys, I love you.”

Network executives confirmed the news Monday, calling her “hilarious and charismatic,” but not offering any explanation beyond that.
“Busy is a hilarious and charismatic talent and we are grateful to the entire Busy Tonight team who has delivered countless laughs and heartwarming moments in what will be over 100 episodes.”
Philipps says she plans to shop the show to another network. The show will air through Thursday of next week at 11 p.m. EST.
