A cyclist was seriously hurt when a truck hit him on Figueroa Avenue near Tice Street yesterday. According to the report the truck dragged the cyclist for nearly a half mile. The driver of the truck fled the scene. If you know anything contact authorities.


Former NFL star Deion Sanders will be returning to Southwest Florida to once again give back to his home community. Sanders is hosting a 7 on 7 all-star football game later this month at Bishop Verot High School. Our local all-stars will play against a team of all stars from the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

  • Vital information for nearly 12 million people has been compromised in a security breach at one of the top medical labs in the U.S.
  • Quest Diagnostics, which has testing facilities all over the country, revealed Monday that hackers have accessed the financial, medical and personal information of 11.9 million customers. The files were breached through American Medical Collection Agency, a company that handles Quest’s billing collections. Quest has stopped sending information to AMCA, a company rep said Monday.
  • According to AMCA, an unauthorized user had access to Quest’s files from August 1st, 2018 until late last week. Those files included credit card numbers, bank account information, Social Security numbers and more. However, files containing patients’ lab results were notpart of the breach, the company said.
