Man Found Near Taylor Swift’s Home With a Crowbar, Bat
A man searching for Taylor Swift near her Westerly, Rhode Island home was arrested over the weekend.
David Liddle was taken into custody on Friday, July 19, after officers received calls about him wandering around the area. As explained by The Westerly Sun, Liddle wanted to visit and “catch up” with the singer and was found with a bat. He also had a backpack with items like screwdrivers, a crowbar, a flashlight, rubber gloves, and 30 different lock picks.
Security guards at the home said that David Liddle was already on their watch list because there were concerns about him. “He has a history. It is our understanding that he may have visited other properties belonging to Taylor Swift in the past.”
Liddle was unable to post bail and remains in the Adult Correctional Institution in Cranston, Rhode Island. He has been ordered to undergo a mental health evaluation. A no-contact order was also issued to him, preventing him from communicating or traveling to any of Swift’s properties.
