Cat Declawing Bill

A proposed Florida bill would ban cat declawing.
This would follow New York legislation in doing the same.
One veterinarian described her experience declawing: “My first day on the job, they did a declaw, and I was so horrified I was physically ill,” said Dr. Debra Moon, shelter veterinarian at the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. She explains that the process is very painful for cats and can have lasting negative psychological effects.
