Taylor Swift Donated $10,000 To Teen Fan Battling Cancer & Now Her Fans Are Following Suit
It won’t be easy to calm down after hearing this latest Taylor Swift news. Swift donated $10,000 to a teen fan battling cancer, according to Billboard, and the pop star’s kindness has led her fans to follow her lead.
Sixteen-year-old Trinity Foster was diagnosed with stage four osteosarcoma, a form of bone cancer that has spread to her lung. To help pay for her medical bills, the teen had started a GoFundMe page after she found out her “insurance doesn’t cover everything that I need, we have tried to get other insurances like ten care but were told we did not apply.” Foster’s goal was $10,000, the amount Swift donated.
Along with her donation, Swift, whose mom’s battle with cancer inspired the Lover track “Soon You’ll Get Better,” attached a sweet note. “I saw photos of your album release party that you did in your hospital room and wanted to say thank you for being so kind and supportive!” she wrote. “I hope I can give you a hug in person soon, but in the meantime, I wanted to send you this and all my love.”
It appears that following Swift’s donation other fans of the pop star chipped in. “From one Swiftie to the next!” one person wrote on GoFundMe. “I am so so sorry that you are going through all of this right now but just know you have army of Swifties behind you praying hard for you every single day!”
