Good Morning Friends!!!

A 13-year old Gateway Intermediate Charter School student was arrested Sunday for threatening to carry out a mass shooting. The investigation started on September 3rd after a student notebook was discovered with “disconcerting and non-specific violence,” according to deputies. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office School Resource Officer, detectives and school administrators reviewed the notebook. Initially, it was determined the statements within the notebook did not meet specific criteria required to arrest Constantine Grant.  Grant is accused of making statements in class claiming he had researched a teacher’s personal information, including their home address and owned vehicles. LCSO said the student was asked about these statements. He then reportedly became disruptive and was removed from class, according to investigators.  Several students anonymously informed law enforcement that Grant made “frightening” statements about “shooting up” their school., the student was arrested for two felonies: send written threat to conduct a mass shooting and false report

A person was killed on I-75 North in Naples Saturday night. Florida Highway Patrol confirms a fatal crash happened near the Pine Ridge Road exit around 11:20 p.m. A 66-year-old man was killed.  neighbors said the victim may have been broken down. Even during car troubles or an emergency, they said it’s a bad idea to get out on the interstate. If you do find yourself broken down on the highway, FHP said you should pull off on the right shoulder, as far from traffic as you can. You can also raise your hood and turn on your flashers. Troopers said the safest place to wait for help is inside your vehicle with your seatbelt on.

A crash on I-75 near the Alico Road exit in Fort Myers caused a semi-truck to catch on fire. The crash caused complete road closures in the area. No one was injured, and crews have put out the flames. Debris is still on the road, but there is no damage to the interstate or bridge. The crash was between a semi-truck and a pick-up truck carrying a trailer Drivers can take the airport exit towards Alico Road

Man Brings ‘Emotional Support Clown’ to Termination Meeting

A New Zealand man who suspected he was going to be fired prepared himself for the fateful meeting by hiring an “emotional support clown” to tag along.

Auckland resident Joshua Jack says he got the unique idea from the most unlikely source: his employer. He says an email he received from his boss — which asked him to come in for a meeting to discuss his “role with the company” — suggested he bring someone to support him. “I thought, it’s either a promotion or worse,” Jack says. “I thought it was best to bring in a professional — so I paid $200 and hired a clown.”

While the clown’s presence appeared to amuse his employers, Jack admits he was a little distracting. “It was sort of noisy, him making balloon animals,” he says. “So we did have to tell him to be quiet from time-to-time.” When Jack’s employers broke the expected bad news, the clown broke down in a fake crying fit. “I definitely recommend bringing Joe or another clown,” he says. “Highly recommended.”
