Kelly Clarkson gave fans of her new daytime talk show a sweet treat when she brought the original judges back from American Idol for a mini-reunion.

Paula Abdul, Simon Cowell, and Randy Jackson all came on The Kelly Clarkson Show to reminisce about Season One of American Idol. Justin Guarini, the season runner-up, even made an appearance.

When talking about the show, Simon tells Kelly, “I genuinely do not believe that we would have been sitting here today if you hadn’t entered the show. We have to find a star who was going to sell records.” Kelly also talked about how, at the time, she had no idea how big the show was because the contestants were kept in a bubble. She said she remembers saying, “Wait, what? People know my name?”

Simon Cowell also talks about the judges’ chemistry and about wishing he could do it all over again. He tells Randy and Paula, “If I’m being honest with you, this does make me think, if I had one wish, it would to make another show with us again.”

Cowell also praises Kelly for being humble and authentic. “Unlike the majority, you are the same person off-camera as you are on camera,” he tells the TV host.

During the segment, they also played a video clip of some of the other cast members from season one discussing their lives and what they are currently doing. Check out the clip below.
