Scooter Braun is finally breaking his silence on the recent drama that was caused by him acquiring ownership of Taylor Swift’s master recordings.

The talent manager is not only sticking to his side of the story, he stands by his assertion that he had no malicious intent. As stated in People, Braun explains, “It’s hard when you get attacked and it’s not based on the truth, but for that other person it may be based in truth but they don’t have all the information. And that’s why I am always open to communication and having a conversation with someone.”

Braun also admits there that has been backlash online about the whole ordeal, especially from Swift’s fanbase. He says that he tries not to let it get to him though. “I used to get really angry, but now I am in a place where this is just an opportunity for me long-term to  really truly show my truth.”

He adds, “I try to do the right thing. Not everyone is going to be happy with what you do. I think in the long-term, I’ve learned this over time, the truth always comes out. And I am confident in that.”

Since Braun’s gotten ownership of the masters, Swift has promised that she will re-record her first six albums.
