I Wonder If It’s Different to Trick or Treat in South Florida compared to Ohio
For all of my Trick or Treating years I was in Ohio. I remember going out when it was too warm to wear a heavy costume. I also recall the years when I thought I would freeze to death just walking out the front door, much less around the block.
Now I live in SWFL and I wonder what it would be like to Trick or Treat here.
Normally, up north, I just would just purchase whatever candy I LIKE. Think Reece’s Peanut Butter Cups.
Being in the south for a few years has changed my thinking though. With the heat we have here, I decided it was best to give the little kiddies something that wouldn’t melt as easily as the Reece’s. So I went with one of my OTHER favorites……
M&Ms
According to a phone survey of over 1,000 adults on Halloween candy, the peanut butter cups accounted for 36 percent of the votes followed by Snickers at 18 percent. M&M’s came in third with 11 percent. Shockingly, candy corn came in with 6 percent of the votes and tied with Hersey’s plain chocolate bars. Starburst, Skittles, and Tootsie Pops came in at 5, 4 and 2 respectively.
What will YOU serve the Trick or Treater in your neighborhood this year??
