Vermont Considers Emojis On License Plates
If one Vermont lawmaker has her way, the Green Mountain state could be the first in the US to feature emojis on license plates.
A bill recently introduced by Democrat Rebecca White in the state’s House of Representatives would allow drivers to choose from six pre-approved characters to appear on the vehicle tags.
While no word on which of the 3,000 emojis that are listed by Emojipedia will be available, there are a few rules in place according to the proposal.
Drivers can’t go full emoji. The selection would have to be in addition to what the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles has assigned or what drivers picked for their vanity plates.
