Uber Offers Vouchers For Golden Gate Estate Residents Impacted By Brush Fires
Uber is extending a helping hand to Golden Gate Estate residents who have been affected by recent brush fires.
The rideshare service is offering vouchers that are valid for one trip to or from a shelter location for up to $20, according to NBC2. The voucher is redeemable until 11 p.m. on Sunday, May 31, 2020.
The two shelter locations include:
- Max Hasse Community Center, 3390 Golden Gate Blvd. W.
- Golden Gate Community Center, 4701 Golden Gate Pkwy

The brush fire on 36th Ave. Southeast in Golden Gate Estates has scorched 8,500 acres and is 10% contained, according to the Florida Forest Service.
Multiple county burn bans were put into place across Southwest Florida on Friday.
