Twenty-five years later, the Banks family is returning. Netflix has announced that a special Father of the Bride reunion is happening. According to the teaser, the cast is returning for an event to benefit World Central Kitchen.
Although there is no word on which cast members will take part in the reunion, producer and director Nancy Meyers did tease the special on Instagram. She wrote, "If he thought a wedding was a lot, how would he react to 2020? Coming soon to the phone in your hand!"
Afterward, when a fan asked Steve Martin, "Did Nancy Meyers just announce FOTB III? is this real?!" on Twitter, he responded, "Enigmatic, isn’t it?"
The Father of the Bride special will air on Netflix’s YouTube and Facebook pages on September 25 at 6 p.m. EST.
