It was announced  that the FBI is now taking over the search for Brian Laundrie, but someone else came to Southwest Florida to assist, Dog the Bounty Hunter.

Over the weekend, Dog the Bounty Hunter went to North Port to Brian Laundrie’s family home, but after knocking the door numerous times, was met with no answer. Dog also spoke to a neighbor to try to gather some more information.

More information from Fox News states Duane “Dog the Bounty Hunter” Chapman is investigating a tip that alleges Brian Laundrie, the fugitive fiancé of Gabby Petito, went into the Fort De Soto Park campground 75 miles away with his parents in early September — but only two of them were seen leaving. The park is located south of St. Pete just west of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge. This totally makes more sense as it’s a series of islands with resources. Police were following up on that lead.

But Dog The Bounty Hunter isn’t there. He’s on Marco Island.

You can see clearly on the video that Dog is on Marco, reportedly staying at the JW Marriott on his honeymoon. And I’ve seen pictures from last night that Dog is on Marco. So Dog says he believes Brian to be in Fort De Soto Park, but that’s not where Dog is.  Is it possible that Dog is searching for Brian around Marco Island? The Collier Sherriff has heard this rumor as well and was quick to quell social media this morning.

So where is Brian Laundrie? The search continues.

There’s a reason Dog is on the case..it’s personal. Back in 2006, he lost a daughter the same age as Gabby in a car accident.

There’s a warrant out for Brian Laundrie’s arrest, that Dog had with him, for alleged debit card fraud. He has also been named a person of interest in the disappearance of Gabby Petito.

The search continues today in the Carlton Reserve. If you know anything about Brian’s whereabouts, please call  1-800-CALL-FBI  or Dog’s tip line 833-TELL-DOG.
