First Responders In Lehigh Acres Save Dog That Was Hit By A Car
According to a post from the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, last weekend, Deputies Davolt and Schilke responded to an incident in Lehigh Acres at 23rd Street Southwest where a dog was hit by a car. When deputies arrived on scene they noticed that the dog’s leg was trapped in the bumper. While Deputy Davolt, Animal Control, and Lehigh Acres Fire Rescue worked to free the dog’s leg, Deputy Schilke consoled the dog and kept him calm. After an exhaustive forty-five minutes of extensive life-saving efforts, the dog was freed and transported to an emergency vet.
Due to the actions of the team and their swift response the dog’s life was saved.
